Hello! My name is Kelsey Meurer (she/her).
I am a Senior UX/UI Designer with 7+ years of experience; currently based in San Francisco. My passion lies in designing intuitive interactions that feel like second nature to users.
Having worked in a variety of environments, from startups to small businesses to large-scale corporations, I have often found myself as the only designer in the room. This has taught me how to clearly explain design reasoning, lead efforts to establish proper design practices, build cross-departmental consensus, and gain buy-in from stakeholders and developers. While I prioritize the end consumers for every project, I am also keenly aware of the technical and business limitations that can impact designs.
My experience so far has taught me to be flexible in the face of time or cost constraints and be receptive to criticism. I consider myself a clever, empathetic, and driven designer. I possess a deep, personal passion for advocating inclusivity and accessibility in my design work, firmly believing that this emphasis invariably steers me toward crafting distinctively exceptional user experiences.
Throughout my career, I've taken charge of UX/UI design across e-commerce, mobile apps, SaaS, and marketing channels. My hands-on approach covers everything from wireframes and prototypes to polished final screens. My skill set encompasses UX/UI design, interaction design, user research, and more, complemented by proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, and Adobe CC.

About My Fish-bird Logo.
Every designer needs a logo, right? So when I developed my own I started in the realm of graphic design concepts and visuals, but everything I thought of felt bland and overdone.
I realized that if I wanted a logo to feel like me I needed to go beyond “UX designer”, and even beyond “worker”. I’m more than just who shows up to the job. I’m silly, creative, and I like animals; especially birds! I illustrate and do crafts and love cartoons.
So I just made a logo I liked. A goofy little bird with a fish face. It makes me smile! And I think if you get to know me you’ll be like “Ah yea, that fish-bird, that’s her.”
Oh, why “KE” instead of “KM”? My middle name is Elizabeth. Last names may change, but I will always have “K”elsey “E”lizabeth.
